Lancashire's 'LEADER' Rural Funding Programme Update (North West)

Lancashire's three LEADER programmes have been allocated £4.2 million of rural funding and are now accepting calls for projects focussed on Enterprise, Farming, Rural Services, Culture and Heritage, Forestry and Tourism. Cheshire LEADER Programme Re-opens for Applications (Cheshire)

Following the result of the EU referendum, Cheshire West and Chester Council have confirmed that the Cheshire LEADER Programme is officially open again, providing funding for rural areas across Cheshire, Warrington and the Dunham Massey area. Grants of £2,500 to £50,000 are available for up to 40% of project costs. £90,000 Awarded to West Cumbrian Causes (Cumbria)

Cumbria Community Foundation (CCF) have announced that 21 local constituted community groups have recently received a share of £91,000 awarded by their grants panel. The Lancashire LEADER 2015-2020 programmes are now officially open for applications. Leader is a European funding programme designed to support the development of the rural economy by providing grants to small businesses and communities. Funding for Environmental Charities and Community Groups (North West)

Environmental charities and community groups in the North West are being offered the chance to develop their online fundraising capabilities as well as receiving up to £500 in £ for £ matched funding for donations received online. Rent Recognition Challenge to be Launched (UK)

The Government has launch a £2 million Rent Recognition Challenge Prize to enable the development of technology that will allow rental tenants to record and share their rental payment data with lenders and credit reference agencies. The Carnegie UK Trust has launched the third funding round of the ‘Carnegie Library Lab' programme. Co-operative Bank Donation Fund Opens for Applications (UK)

Organisations that have a Community Directplus account with the Co-operative Bank have until 31st March 2018 to apply for funding from the Customer Donation Fund. Since 2003 the Co-operative Bank Donation Fund has donated over £701,000 to 815 organisations. Funding to Support Vulnerable Young Migrants (UK)

Not for profit organisations and private law firms that work with young migrants can apply for grants of through the Strategic Legal Fund (SLF) for Vulnerable Young Migrants. The maximum grant available is £30,000 but, in view of the limited funding available, lower applications are encouraged.
