Local Funding

Groups or individuals running a voluntary community, sport, play or art group - or who are thinking of setting one up – may be eligible to apply for funding of up to £500 to the Community Chest Programme.  In the past grants have been awarded to a variety of groups including Brownies and Guides, veterans, pensioner groups, and music, church and health groups.

Third Sector voluntary, non-profit making, community organisations and individuals based in West Lancashire can apply for funding towards their activities.

Grants are available from the following budgets:

• A grant of up to £500 (£250 for individuals) from the general budget
• A grant of up to £500 from the play monies budget
• A grant of up to £500 from the Sports/talented athlete budget
• A grant of up to £500 from the Arts Development budget
