Access Grant
Essex Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership
The Essex Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership have limited funds available to support Access Projects for the inclusion of families who are in 'Hard to Reach' Circumstances.

Access grants are start-up grants and are only available for new projects not for the continuation of existing projects

The overall aim of the projects will be to improve parent access to mainstream services. Specifically projects need to address the following issues:

• Geographical isolation.

• Low self esteem and lack of confidence to access existing available services.

• Lack of information or understanding about services available.

• Poverty and inability to afford local services.

• Non-English speaking parents lacking access to information or confidence to use services.

• Parents living in extreme circumstances, for instance, in women's

• Refuges.

• Families in need of parenting support.

• Parents needing access to toys and equipment.

• Parents with mental health problems.

• Parents with disabilities.

• Very young parents.
