Regional Development Agency

Sowing SEEDS is a community led initiative that is providing £2.85 million for projects until December 2013. The funding is provided by the European Union through Local Action for Rural Communities and is administered by the Regional Development Agency.

Projects that can be considered for funding need to deliver benefits to areas in North Dorset or Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and must deliver outputs which relate to the objectives of the project -
1. Supporting rural businesses
2. Enhancing the environment
3. Empowering young People
4. Developing opportunities for Local Culture and Heritage
5. Sustaining Local Communities

Charities, voluntary organisations and businesses can apply as long as the project they are seelking funding from secures community benefit and relates to the objectives of the programme. Individuals can not apply.
