Comic Relief Local Communities 2015 - 2017
Hertfordshire Community Foundation

Hertfordshire Community Foundation is seeking applications from small local voluntary and community groups for projects benefiting Hertfordshire people. Half of the grants made will be to groups using sport and exercise to provide opportunities for people who are excluded or disadvantaged. The other half will support local community groups that

? increase local services
? build skills of local people
? increase community cohesion
? respond to local economic needs.

The sorts of activity that can be funded include:
? Community sport activities
? Furniture projects
? Projects giving access to benefits advice
? Projects combating fuel poverty
? Community consultation exercises
? Community employment projects
? Food co-ops
? Running costs - including salaries, core costs and project costs
? Committee and volunteer / staff training

Small local voluntary and community groups for projects benefiting Hertfordshire people. These include:

? Community groups
? Resident Association
? Community Centres
? Social enterprises and Community interest companies
? Credit unions

Grants range from £1000 to £10,000.

Hertfordshire Community Foundation has quarterly grants rounds, with deadlines at the end of May, August, November and February. We expect the final deadline to be 30 November 2010.
