Grants of up to £100,000 Available to Tackle Youth Unemployment (England and Wales)

Registered charities and social enterprises in England and Wales working with young people from ethnic minority and disadvantaged backgrounds can apply for grants of up to £100,000 per year for two years through the Impetus Youth Employment Connect Fund. This initiative aims to tackle the disproportionately high unemployment rates faced by this group by providing financial support and expert assistance.

The funding is being made available through Impetus – The Private Equity Foundation.  This is an organisation dedicated to transforming the lives of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, providing them with the necessary support to succeed in school, work, and life

The Impetus Youth Employment Connect Fund is available to organisations that are primarily working with young people aged 14-25 from ethnic minority and socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds in finding work or developing work-related skills

The fund will provide:

  • £100,000 per year in core, unrestricted funding
  • Expertise from Impetus' dedicated Investment team
  • Access to Impetus' pro bono network
  • Participation in peer learning forums with other charities
  • Collaboration opportunities to influence policy

The funding will be available to three charities or social enterprises.

The closing date for applications is 11.59 pm on the 7th April 2024.
