Funding to Support Youth Literacy Projects (North West of England)

Grants of up to £15,000 are available to local organisations for projects that use the power of language to empower disadvantaged young people to improve literacy levels and broaden career aspirations.

The funding is made available through Audible’s Future Stories Fund, which aims to unlock the potential of 16-to-25-year-olds from historically marginalised communities in the North West of England, specifically those young people whose exclusion has had a negative impact on their levels of literacy and aspiration.

Eligible projects may involve:

  • reading
  • writing
  • podcasts
  • poetry
  • theatre
  • acting
  • playwriting
  • anything else linked to language and expression

A package of capacity building support and fiscal hosting is also offered.

Applications are invited from organisations, community groups and networks until the 17th March 2024.
