Community groups in South Gloucestershire, Bristol, North Somerset, and Sedgemoor District can apply for grants of up to £4,000 to support community action that raises awareness of climate change, reduces fossil fuel consumption, and reduces fuel poverty.
The funding, made available through the Megawatt Community Energy Fund Grant, can support all costs relating to the project or activity/project, including a contribution to core costs (e.g. core staff costs, office costs), project and capital costs.
Applications for the funding of innovative ideas, including pilot projects, as well as for the development and growth of existing projects are encouraged.
In exceptional circumstances higher awards may be considered.
The fund will open on the 28th March until 11am on the 31st May 2024.
