Grants of up to £70,000 Available for Film Festivals (Scotland)

New and existing organisations based in Scotland that are producing film festivals and/or curated screening programmes can apply for a grant of between £10,000 and £40,000. Activities supported by the fund should increase the reach, impact and diversity of film screenings and events for communities that reflect the diversity of Scottish audiences

Activities supported by the fund should also meet Screen Scotland’s Audience Development priorities.

Although the fund is focused on in-person events, some activity may also take place on digital platforms when this is the best way to reach specific under-represented audiences.

The grant can be used to support a wide range of activities, including:

  • Programming and curating costs
  • Venue hire
  • Marketing and promotion
  • Audience development
  • Accessibility provision
  • Artist and filmmaker fees

The grant is provided by Screen Scotland’s The National Lottery Film Festival and Screening Programme Fund.

Organisations looking for less than £10,000, please consider the funding opportunities Film Hub Scotland offers.

The next closing date for applications is the 16th September 2024.
