Funding to Reduce the Likelihood of Children Becoming Involved in Violence (England & Wales)

The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) has announced that it will launch a second themed grant round for 2021 in September - ‘a supportive home: helping families overcome challenges’.

The Fund will focus on finding out which approaches are most effective in helping families and carers to create a supportive home environment for 6-14-year-olds (including looked after children), reducing the likelihood of them becoming involved in violence.

Activities could include family counselling, therapy approaches, and support programmes for parents, foster families and looked-after children.

The YEF will invest in around 10-20 programmes that are ready for evaluation or could be supported to reach this point within two years.

The funding will be made in partnership with Comic Relief.
