Funding to Support Lunch Clubs for Older People (Leeds)

Leeds Community Foundation, in partnership with Leeds City Council, is offering grants to support the vital work of lunch clubs for older people across the city.

Who can apply:

  • charities
  • community groups
  • CIOs
  • CICs

The funding can be used to support new clubs as well as existing ones to continue delivering services.

Examples of activities that can be funded:

  • direct running costs – food, staff, volunteer expenses, room hire, transport, insurance, training
  • activity that runs alongside a lunch club to enhance wellbeing and social connection, such as exercise, arts and crafts, etc

The amount awarded to each club usually does not exceed £2,400, and is calculated based on the types of expenditure they have to pay, how often they operate and how many people they support.

Priority is given to the city’s more isolated or disadvantaged communities.

The deadline for applications is 12pm on the 27th March 2024.
