Funding to Tackle Rural Crime (Hampshire & Isle of Wight)

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight has launched a new fund to tackle rural crime.

Charities, CIOs, social enterprises, town and parish councils, and other not-for-profit organisations can apply for funding of £5,001 and over for either physical item/s or to support a project that will help to prevent crime, reduce offending, and support victims of crime in rural areas. These often include machine thefts, hare coursing – which leads to illegal gambling – poaching, trespassing, and fly tipping.

Smaller grants of up to £5,000 are also available to support either a project or physical item/s. Separate applications must be made depending on what the funding is for and the level of funding required.

The funding is made available through the Emerging Needs Fund which closes to applications at 2pm on the 21st April 2023.
