Funding to Make Playing Football More Accessible at Grassroots Level (UK)
Grassroots community groups across the UK can apply for grants of £1,000 to launch or expand accessible football for under-represented young people living in the UK's most deprived areas.
The funding which is being made available through the Barclays Community Football Fund, will support activities working with women and girls, racially diverse communities, young people with disabilities, and the LGBTQ+ community from lower socio-economic areas.
The funding can be used to cover costs such as:
- venue hire including floodlights / heating
- coaching costs
- volunteer expenses
- equipment
- kit
- marketing and communications
- training and qualifications
- insurances and affiliation
The fund will be open to applications until the 12th April 2024. The fund will then re-open later in the year from Monday 15th July until Sunday 15th September 2024.
