Grants to Help Local Community Groups Fight Climate Change (Cumbria)

As part of the effort to make Cumbria carbon neutral by 2037, Cumbria Action for Sustainability has launched a new £100,000 Community Climate Grant fund to help local community groups fight climate change.

Small and medium grants of between £200 and £2,000, and larger grants of up to £10,000 are available for projects and events to raise awareness of climate change and to reduce carbon emissions from energy use, land use, waste and transport.

Groups that haven’t previously had access to funds to address the climate crisis are particularly encouraged to apply, along with those offering support to groups working with vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals and communities.

Small and medium grants will be assessed on a rolling basis.

Applications for larger grants should be submitted by the 28th February 2022.

Potential applicants are invited to join our webinar on Thursday 25th November at 1pm.
