Funding to Improve the National Cycle Network in Scotland (Scotland)

Constituted community groups can apply for grants of £2,500 for projects which will make artistic and aesthetic improvements along the National Cycle Network in Scotland, with the ultimate aim of encouraging more people to travel by bike or foot, and making cycle routes more attractive and enjoyable.

Sustrans’ Scotland ArtRoots Fund encourages the showcasing of local talent and expression for youngsters through their arts, and encourages local communities to shape their local environment and become more active.

Applications from non-constituted groups will be considered, as will grants of £5,000 if applicants can demonstrate that higher funding will lead to a significant increase in new active travel journeys.

Funding rounds typically run every two months. Community groups are encouraged to submit an expression of interest at any point in the year.
