Funding to Encourage Diversity in University Engineering Departments (UK)

The Royal Academy of Engineering has launched a new funding round of its Diversity Impact Programme for projects within UK university engineering departments that address the unequal outcomes experienced by students from underrepresented groups.

Grants of up to £100,000 are available through the Diversity Impact Programme for bold, ambitious and transformative projects lasting 12-18 months that inspire change in university engineering departments and achieve equal outcomes for students irrespective of their diversity characteristics. This might include Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic students, disabled students, carers, LGBTQ+ communities, and those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.

Applicants must have a formal affiliation with a UK Higher Education Institution, and require a letter of support from the dean of department (or equivalent).

The deadline for applications is 4pm on the 14th July 2023.
