The Scottish Government and sustainable organisation Zero Waste Scotland have launched a new £2 million fund to increase the sustainability of the fashion and textile industry.

Grants of up to £500,000 are available to public, private and third-sector organisations of all sizes working alone or in collaboration to develop and deliver solutions to reduce waste and carbon impacts of all textiles (clothing, household and industrial).

The funding, which is made available through the Circular Textiles Fund, will support initiatives that cut demand for new clothing, employ sustainable manufacturing processes, mitigate the pollution from washing textiles and make them easier to reuse and repair.

The closing date for expressions of interest is the 29th July 2022. 

Projects must be delivered by 31 March 2023.
