Funding to Improve Wellbeing for Disadvantaged Families (Glasgow)

Organisations working to reduce health inequalities in disadvantaged communities can apply for funding through the Whole Family Community Fund.

Managed by Impact Funding Partners and funded by the Scottish Government, this programme seeks to improve family well-being in Glasgow via community engagement.

The fund will support vulnerable families linked to twelve GP practices in seven disadvantaged neighbourhoods. It promotes holistic activities for children, young people, and their families, addressing both well-being and health inequalities.

There are two funding levels available:

  • £5,000 to £10,000 for new community-based initiatives
  • £10,001 to £20,000 for expanding existing projects

Each of the seven neighbourhoods will have slightly different challenges and local provisions, so activities should focus on local needs. This may include activities that:

  • provide training and support for staff, volunteers and families supporting
  • children and young people with additional support needs
  • provide peer support models
  • support for specific groups such as dad only groups or groups for parents who
  • have disabled children
  • tackle the barriers that families face in accessing/participating in
  • activities/services
  • support minority ethnic and asylum seekers and refugee families

Eligible applicants include grassroots and third-sector organisations with annual incomes of less than £750,000. Partnership applications are welcome.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on the 25th November 2024.
