New Fund for Projects Tackling Climate Change (Essex)

Essex County Council is making grants of up to £20,000 available to support voluntary and community organisations and schools delivering activities tackling climate change in the county.

A total of £500,000 in funding is available through the Climate Action Challenge Fund to support community activities that embeds behavioural change in residents around key climate issues. This could include activity such as community gardening projects, projects promoting and enabling sustainable travel (e.g. cycling and walking schemes), and projects making use of green space for community activity.

Applications can be made at any time until the 31st March 2023 or until funds are fully allocated, whichever comes first.
