Grants of up to £300,000 are available to UK charities, academic institutions, companies and collaborations for projects that will provide innovative healthcare treatments for veterans.
The £5 million Veterans' Health innovation Fund is a new themed competition launched by the Defence and Security Accelerator on behalf of the Office for Veterans’ Affairs. The funding will support organisations to research and trial cutting-edge treatments, techniques and interventions to improve the health and well-being of veterans.
Proposals are being sought in the following challenge areas:
- digital, data and technology;
- surgical technology, bioengineering and rehabilitation with blast injuries;
- public health, pain management, hearing loss and visual impairment;
- initiatives to help identify and/or provide solutions to disparities in female veterans’ health and healthcare.
The deadline for applications is midday on the 31st August 2022.
