Funding for Emergency Laptops & Support for Schools (Southwark)

The Newcomen Collett Foundation supports the education of residents of the London Borough of Southwark who are under the age of 25 through various grant-making programmes.

The Foundation's grantmaking priorities are:

  • Helping schools and other groups to buy equipment for the benefit of children.
  • Supporting extra-curricular activities for children and young people. For example, school trips, after school clubs, holiday clubs, uniformed organisations.
  • Helping organisations which provide educational opportunities to schools and colleges in the Borough of Southwark. For example, visiting theatre companies and musicians.

Funding of up to £300 is also available for emergency laptops for pupils attending a senior school in Southwark. To be eligible, schools must apply on behalf of pupils who are in the greatest financial need, and can apply for a maximum of 5 laptops. In particular circumstances, a larger grant will be considered.

The charity considers applications four times a year. The next deadline is the 12th November 2021.
