£2.6 Million Fund to Help Hong Kong Arrivals (UK)

The UK Government has made £2.6 million in funding available to help newly arrived families with Hong Kong British National (Overseas) status settle into communities and make the best start to rebuilding their lives.

Community groups across the UK can bid for funding from the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) grant schemes to support people through buddying schemes, help families to access services like registering for GPs or opening bank accounts, or find employment.

£100,000 is also available for the development of educational resources to teach young people about the nation’s historic connection and commitment to Hong Kong. An additional £300,000 will be available for hate crime reporting services in England.

Bids for funding to deliver these programmes will close on the 1st September 2021.
