Funding to Increase Support for Living Kidney Donation (UK)

NHS Blood and Transplant has launched a £100,000 fund to build support for living kidney donation, particularly amongst Black, Asian, Mixed Race and minority ethnic communities across the UK.

The Living Kidney Transplant scheme will award grants of either £7,499 and under or £7,500 - £15,000 to enable community, and faith and beliefs organisations to champion organ donation in a culturally relevant way.

Funding should support innovative projects lasting either twelve- or eighteen-months which drive awareness of living donation, address misinformation and barriers, share information, and drive behaviour change amongst those aged 30+ particularly those from Black and South Asian communities.

Given the uncertainty with Covid-19,  projects should apply with a digital contingency plan in place should they need to move from delivering events and activities in person to online.

Expressions of interest should be submitted by 10pm on the 12th September 2021.
