Grants of up to £1,500 Available to Celebrate London's Resilience and Diversity (London)

Voluntary and Community groups (including schools) in London can apply for grants of between £500 and £1,500 from the Mayor of London's Community Weekend fund. The Mayor's Community Weekend, which is taking place in London for the first time on the weekend of 23rd to 25th June, 2023, provides an opportunity for communities to come together and celebrate the city's resilience and diversity; and to strengthen their bonds. The National Lottery Community Fund is working with the Mayor of London to offer grants from a total available fund of £250,000 to groups who want to run events or activities during the weekend.

The grants will prioritise events that focus on bringing communities together, celebrating the resilience and diversity of London's communities, particularly the role that young people can play, promoting volunteering, and increasing access to green spaces. The grants are be open to all 33 boroughs in Greater London.

Potential events for the Mayor's Community Weekend include picnics, litter picks, sports, cultural events, street parties, and community barbecues.

The closing date for applications is 12 noon on the 1st March 2023.
