Grants of up to £1,000 are available to support community-led events celebrating LGBT+ History Month in February 2026.
Offered by Lewisham Council, the funding aims to help local groups and organisations deliver inclusive and engaging activities that highlight the lives, history, and contributions of LGBT+ communities.
Events could include:
- creative workshops
- theatre and performance
- film screenings
- exhibitions and heritage displays
- discussion panels and talks
- reading groups and literary events
- fashion and activism activities
- community celebrations
Both organisations and individuals are eligible to apply; however, individual applicants must be endorsed by a constituted organisation. This could be a housing association, residents association, voluntary sector organisation, faith organisation, food bank or local school.
Applicants should have experience of LGBT+ communities, and LGBT+ people must be involved in planning or delivering the event.
This year’s theme will be announced shortly. Applications close on the 27th November 2025.
