Dorset Community Foundation Neighbourhood Fund Opens to Applications (Dorset)

The Dorset Community Foundation Neighbourhood Fund has opened to applications.

The fund is available to local organisations whose work involves tackling social issues and supporting disadvantaged people. Grants of up to £5,000 are available to charities, community and voluntary organisations, CICs, and social enterprises with an annual income of less than £250,000.

The fund will support core costs, service delivery costs and reasonable capital costs (e.g. office equipment, sports equipment, tools etc). Contributions towards large capital appeals are a low priority for funding.

In addition to the broad objectives of the fund outlined above, the Fund has two particular areas of interest and applications working in these areas may be prioritised:

  • Services that support older people to lead more active, healthy and independent lives (addressing social isolation and loneliness, declining health, poor access to services and support for carers).
  • Services that support those with mental health problems, including those with diagnosed conditions, those with general indicators of poor mental health and early interventions for children, young people and their families (addressing low self-esteem and personal aspirations, relationship difficulties, unhealthy coping behaviours and other issues).

The deadline for applications is 12pm on the 14th January 2022.
