The Education Endowment Foundation which supports schools, nurseries and colleges to improve teaching and learning for two – 19-year-olds through better use of evidence has announced that its first funding round in 2023 is now open for applications.  This funding round will focus on three priority areas, identified as having gaps in the evidence base and with potential to benefit socio-economically disadvantaged pupils.

These areas are:

• Research to support the recruitment and retention of teachers in schools with high levels of disadvantaged pupils.
• To explore the role and implementation of Educational Technology in classroom teaching and learning
• To improve outcomes for young people taking English and maths resit classes in sixth form and further education colleges.

The closing date for applications is the 23^rd March 2023.
