British Rowing, in partnership with Sport England, has launched a new fund to make rowing more accessible for people with disabilities and impairments.

The Adaptive Equipment Fund will support all types of clubs that want to start or build on their existing adaptive rowing activity. Grants are expected to be in the range of £500 to £1,000, and will support a range of equipment to adapt new or existing boats or indoor rowing machines.

This could include stabilisers, supportive fixed seats, and small piece of kit such as alternative hand grips. The funding programme will also provide coaching and mentoring advice and support.

The closing date for applications is the 31st March 2023.
