£7 Million Fund to Decarbonise Freight (UK)
The Department for Transport has launched a new £7 million fund to help small to medium-sized UK businesses develop greener and more efficient solutions for freight.
The Freight Innovation Fund will award funding of up to £150,000 to businesses working with industry partners to develop and trial innovations to make freight greener and more resilient, such as ways to improve how freight moves between rail, road and maritime transport.
Businesses will also benefit from bespoke support to help them access private investment, and access to regular networking events and activities.
The fund will select up to 36 businesses over 3 open calls until 2024. Applications to the first call are open until the 5th February 2023.
