Financial Support for Flood-Damaged Sports Facilities (England-Various)
Sport England is now accepting applications for funding to repair flood-damaged facilities from community sports clubs and non-profit organisations affected by recent floods.
The Small Grants Programme, which will focus on areas covered by the Active Partnership network, including Energise, Active Black Country, Birmingham Sport, Herefordshire & Worcester, Active Gloucestershire, Wesport, and Active Dorset, will provide grants of up to £15,000 for emergency costs such as:
- skip hire to remove sediment and rubbish
- minor electrical works to restore power
- decontamination works or clearing of blocked drains
- cleaning work to get showers and changing rooms back up and running
- securing buildings.
Priority will be given to sports that need to return quickly, with spring and summer sports or activities not scheduled for several weeks being a lower priority.
