UK research organisations are invited to apply for a share of £2.25 million in funding to help them maximise the commercial, societal and economic benefits of their research.

The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council’s (BBSRC) Standard Follow-on Fund (FoF) and Super Follow-on Fund will enable researchers to conduct activities essential to preparing a business plan and, where necessary, to secure further funding and support to progress the innovation.

• Standard FoF awards of up to £250,000 are available for projects of up to two years.
• Super FoF provides higher levels of funding of up to £800,000.

Partnerships are welcome, but must be led by a principal investigator which currently or previously held BBSRC funding.

The deadline for applications is 4pm on the 4th April 2023.

The BBSRC will hold a webinar for potential applicants on 9 February 2023, 10:00am to 11:00am. This will provide more information about the funding opportunity and a chance to ask questions.
