Grants to Assist Families in Need (England - Former Coalfield Areas)
Voluntary and community organisations operating in the former coalfield areas of England will be able to apply for grants of up to £2,000 to support low-income families in need.
The funding, which is being made available through the Coalfields Regeneration Trusts Small Grants Programme, will support projects including:
- food poverty projects;
- information, advice & guidance projects;
- social groups;
- projects supporting the homeless
- or any other project which would benefit those in crisis.
50% of the grant can be for capital items such as any equipment needed to deliver a project. For example, any cooking equipment for a holiday hunger project or lunch club.
Grants will be awarded regularly until all funding is allocated.
