Funding to Support Vulnerable Energy Consumers (England, Scotland and Wales)

The Energy Saving Trust has announced that charities in England, Scotland and Wales can now apply for funding through the Energy Redress Scheme.

The scheme supports energy consumers in vulnerable situations by distributing payments from energy companies who may have breached rules. There are four funds open in this funding round totalling £4.8 million.

These are

  • the Small Project Fund for grants of between £20,000 and £49,999 to support energy consumers in vulnerable situations;
  • the Main Fund for grants of between £50,000 and £750,000 to support energy consumers in vulnerable situations;
  • the Innovation Fund for grants of between £50,000 and £500,000 for innovative product and/or service development;
  • and the Carbon Emissions Reduction Fund for grants of between £50,000 and £500,000 for projects that reduce carbon use and accelerate the transition to net zero.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on the 6th May 2021.
