New £500,000 Fund Launched to Tackle Electronic Waste (UK)

A new £500,000 fund has been launched to support initiatives that reduce electronic waste in the UK.

Through the Time after Time e-waste Fund, Virgin Media O2, in partnership with Hubbub, will make grants of between £10,000 and £75,000 available for projects that focus on the reuse, repair and recycling of small electrical items, from smartphones and laptops to toys and kitchen appliances.

This could include research projects that support a reduction in e-waste, campaigns that raise awareness particularly amongst people aged 16-24, or projects that directly tackle the causes of e-waste.

The fund is open to charities, academic bodies, community interest companies, social enterprises, registered companies, local authorities, and Business Improvement Districts.

The deadline is 5pm on the 14th December 2022 to submit their expressions of interest.
