Funding for Projects that Raise the Attainment of Disadvantaged School Students (North of England)

Teachers in the North of England will soon be able to apply for grants of up to £25,000 for projects that help disadvantaged young people to realise their academic potential.

The funding is being made available through the Let Teachers Shine 2025 competition which aims to find the country's best teachers and some fresh, imaginative and practical ways to raise attainment among disadvantaged students in English, Maths or Science.

The SHINE Trust is particularly interested in projects that are innovative and have the potential for scalability.

Projects can last up to 2 years.

Ten grants are expected to be awarded.

The closing date for applications is the 15th January 2025.
