UK Global Screen Fund Launched to Boost Global Exports of UK Content (UK)
The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, in partnership with the British Film Institute, has launched a £7 million one-year pilot fund to boost international development and distribution opportunities for the UK’s independent screen sector.
The UK Global Screen Fund will support the sector including film, TV, animation, documentary and interactive narrative games to become more competitive internationally by funding business development and co-production, as well as supporting promotion of screen productions and distribution to help reach larger global audiences and drive revenue.
Funding will be allocated in three strands:
- International Distribution Funding will open to applications on the 28th April 2021;
- International Business Development will open to applications in May 2021;
- Co-Production Investment Funding will be available from June 2021.
