Funding to Protect Nationally Important Heritage which is at Risk Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic (UK)

Public sector organisations, charities, voluntary groups, and other not-for-profit organisations can apply for a share of £40 million in funding to protect nationally important heritage which is at risk due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The National Heritage Memorial Fund (NHMF) - Covid-19 Response Fund will allocate £20 million in funding to safeguard nationally important heritage assets within England such as:

  • works of fine and decorative art
  • museum collections
  • archives
  • manuscripts
  • items of industrial, transport and maritime heritage
  • historic buildings and land

This funding has been made available by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport through the Cultural Assets Fund to distribute alongside the NHMF’s own commitment of £20 million to applicants across the UK.

Funding is available until the end of April 2023 and applications can be made at any time.
