Community Ownership Fund (UK)
The UK government has announced that Round 2 of the new £150 million Community Ownership Fund is due to re-open for applications in December 2021. The fund is part of the UK Government’s strategy to build back better from the pandemic and to foster a sense of community and will make grants to help communities across the UK take ownership of local facilities, community assets and amenities such as:
- sporting and leisure facilities
- cinemas and theatres
- music venues
- museums
- galleries
- parks
- pubs
- post office buildings
- shops
In the first bidding round matched capital grants of up to £250,000 were available for projects.
Further details and an updated prospectus and guidance notes for round 2 will be published in the autumn.
