£160 Million Fund to Improve the Energy Performance of Social Housing Stock (England)

Registered providers of social housing in England will be able to bid for funding to improve the energy performance of their social homes.

The Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund will open to applications in autumn 2021 to upgrade ‘a significant amount’ of social housing stock, delivering warm, energy-efficient homes, reducing carbon emissions and fuel bills, tackling fuel poverty, and supporting green jobs.

£160 million in funding will be available in this round for projects delivering up to March 2023.

Housing associations will not be able to apply directly to the fund, but will be able to apply as part of a local authority led bid.

Free technical support will be available to bidders later this summer along with further information on the bidding window.
