UK registered businesses and research and technology organisations can apply for a share of up to £25 million in funding for game-changing and commercially viable research and development (R&D) ideas that can significantly impact the UK economy.
Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, provides funding for innovation R&D from a variety of technologies, markets and research categories, including:
- feasibility projects;
- industrial research projects;
- experimental development projects.
Applications can come from any area of technology and be applied to any part of the economy including arts, design & media, creative industries, science or engineering, and must be business focused, rather than pure research.
The Innovate UK Smart Grants competition is open to single applicants and collaborations.
The deadline for applications is 11am on the 5th January 2022.
