Open Call for Projects Researching Young People’s Experience of Emotional Support (UK)

A new £750,000 programme has been launched to fund research into young people’s experience of emotional support and the effect this has on their mental health outcomes.

The Health Foundation’s Emotional Support for Young People programme will support four to six teams across the UK, with up to £200,000 funding each, to complete research projects over twelve to eighteen months. These will help develop the evidence base on what shapes the emotional support that young people experience.

Applications from teams combining expertise from a broad range of disciplines, including social psychology, sociology and other social sciences are encouraged.

Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until 12pm on the 13th June 2022.

The Foundation encourages potential applicants to attend an information call, on Wednesday 27 April 2022 at 13.00–14.00. This will be an opportunity to hear more about the programme and ask any clarifying questions. Email youngpeople@health.org.uk to sign up.
