Social Housing Fuel Support Fund Goes Live (Scotland)
An emergency fund for Scottish housing associations to help tenants who are struggling with the cost of their energy bills has gone live.
Funded by the Scottish Government, the Scotland Social Housing Fuel Support Fund will enable housing associations to provide tenants with energy and cash vouchers, redeemable at Paypoint and Post Office locations. The Scottish Federation of Housing Associations is distributing £375,000 from the £2 million fund on behalf of the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations until mid-May 2021 to support households which are struggling to pay their bills due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Any Registered Social Landlord operating in Scotland can register with HACT to access the funding.
