Grants to Help Museums Become More Resilient (Scotland)
Organisations in Scotland that are running accredited Museums can apply for grants of between £15,000 and £60,000 for projects that will help them to become more resilient. The Museum Development Fund exists to support museums to deliver medium sized, strategic sustainable development projects in line with their own business plans and Scotland’s museums and galleries Strategy.
Projects can run over 2 years and in all cases, applicants will have to make clear how:
- Funded organisations will be more resilient
- Funded organisations will be more environmentally sustainable
- Collections will be better cared for and managed and more accessible
- The museum workforce will be more skilled, confident, and diverse
- A wider range of people will be engaging with and represented in museums
- Museums will enhance quality of life for people by improving wellbeing, supporting learning, or contributing to place-making
Expressions of interest need to be submitted by the 10th October 2023 with the application deadline of the 30th May 2023.
