Research & Development Funding to Support the Sustainability & Productivity of the UK Seafood Industry (UK)
The UK Government’s Seafood Innovation Fund will open to a third call for applications in autumn 2021.
Organisations from all sectors in the UK can apply for funding from the £10 million research and development fund to develop innovative ideas, products and technology which will benefit the sustainability, productivity and profitability of the UK’s fishing, aquaculture and seafood industries.
The programme includes:
- primary producers
- onshore supply chains
- marine and diadromous fisheries
- marine and land-based aquaculture
The programme excludes:
- freshwater fishing
- recreational fishing
Applications for collaborative projects that include both seafood sector organisations and technology businesses will be encouraged.
The closing date for applications is 12 noon on the 7th January 2022.
