Funding Available to Strengthen Communities Through Sports

Community and voluntary groups are being invited to apply for funding of up to £5,000 through the Sports Relief Grant programme. Shelroy Charitable Trust Fund (Norfolk)

Grants of up to £5,000 are available to charities and community groups to support projects that benefit disabled, vulnerable or disadvantaged people in Norfolk, with a particular focus on Norwich and East Norfolk. Priority will be given to capital projects to improve or enhance community buildings or facilities where there is clear evidence that the site serves a wide community purpose, and/ or clear plans are in place to increase its availability to the community. Police & Crime Commissioner for Cambridgeshire - Youth Fund for Cambridgeshire (Cambridgeshire & Peterborough)

Groups working with young people between the ages of 10 and 20 years old (or 25 for young people with learning disabilities) living in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough have until 1st November 2017 to apply to the Police and Crime commissioner for Cambridgeshire Youth Fund for Cambridgeshire. Norfolk and North Suffolk LEADER Programme Deadline Dates for 2018 (Norfolk & North Suffolk)

Norfolk Local Action Group has just published meeting dates and application deadlines for 2018. Applications are now invited for projects based in the Brecks, Broads, Waveney Valley, Wensum & Coast and West Norfolk LEADER areas. Applications can be made by farmers, growers, foresters, other local rural businesses and rural community organisations. Community Facilities Grants (East Cambridgeshire)

The Facilities Improvement Grant Fund has up to £10,000 available per project to develop and improve village halls, community centres, sport and leisure centres, play facilities and public open spaces. People’s Health Trust Active Communities (Essex, Southend on Sea, Thurrock)

Not for profit organisations in Essex, Southend on Sea and Thurrock can apply for grants of between £5,000 and £25,000 per year for up to two years for projects targeting areas most affected by health inequalities. The Government has launch a £2 million Rent Recognition Challenge Prize to enable the development of technology that will allow rental tenants to record and share their rental payment data with lenders and credit reference agencies. The Carnegie UK Trust has launched the third funding round of the ‘Carnegie Library Lab' programme. Co-operative Bank Donation Fund Opens for Applications (UK)

Organisations that have a Community Directplus account with the Co-operative Bank have until 31st March 2018 to apply for funding from the Customer Donation Fund. Not for profit organisations and private law firms that work with young migrants can apply for grants of through the Strategic Legal Fund (SLF) for Vulnerable Young Migrants. The maximum grant available is £30,000 but, in view of the limited funding available, lower applications are encouraged.
