Outward Bound Trust (UK) Outward Bound Trust offers charitable funding to help disadvantaged school pupils attend its life‑changing outdoor residential courses. The Residential programme delivers tailored 3‑ to 5‑day adventure courses in remote UK centres (such as Snowdonia or the Lake District). The programme is designed for primary, secondary and college students and focuses on building resilience, confidence, teamwork and emotional wellbeing through outdoor challenges. The Alpkit Foundation (UK) The Alpkit Foundation awards small grants to individuals, community groups, schools and other not-for-profit organisations across the UK to encourage people to get outdoors and have great experiences that otherwise couldn’t happen. The Foundation supports projects that support diversity and inclusion in the outdoors, as well as participation, education, conservation and protection of the natural environment, and health and wellbeing. |

Spark Awards (UK) The Spark Awards provide grants of up to £15,000 for programmes of public engagement that inspire and involve target audiences with science and technology. Activities must focus on astronomy, solar and planetary science, particle physics, particle astrophysics, cosmology, nuclear physics or accelerator science. Well-planned proposals for novel or innovative approaches towards engagement are welcomed. Grant funded researchers, STFC scientists and engineers, facility users, schools, museums, science communicators and amateur astronomy groups are all eligible to apply. |
