UK Space Agency - Space for All (UK)

The UK Space Agency helps to deliver the National Space Strategy. The aim of the Space for All Programme is to unlock growth in the UK space sector include nurturing talent and inspiring the next generation into Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) careers. Funding of between £50,000 and £100,000 is available for projects which: develop new ways to reach young people from all backgrounds, that are modern and relevant to the technologies they are accustomed to, their values and social environments; encourage young people to pursue STEM education by using the exciting and inspiring context of space;

National Composites Centre – SME Boost Programme (UK)

The National Composites Centre (NCC) is a world-class research centre, which provides funding, and access to cutting-edge technology and specialist engineers to companies in the UK to drive innovation in the design and manufacture of composites. Through the SME Boost Programme, match funding up to £25,000 is available to make innovative composites research and development as straightforward as possible for small and medium-sized enterprises in the UK. Funding could support feasibility studies to see how composites can help improve an idea, or upscaling an existing product to meet future requirements. Programme participants also receive access to the NCC's knowledge network.

Social Tech Trust - AI for Good Start-up Programme.(UK)

The AI for Good Start-up Programme reflects the shared belief that the biggest opportunity for AI is not for AI to shape our future, but for people to shape AI to make the future we want to see. The initial cohort included eleven ventures focusing on AI for accessibility and AI for environmental sustainability. The second programme sees the addition of AI for Humanitarian Action and AI for Cultural Heritage

Nuffield Foundation - Strategic Grant (UK)

Comic Relief – Tech for Good (UK)

The Tech for Good programme was developed in response to the emerging need for charities in the UK to use technology to explore different approaches to delivering better services. Funding of up to £48,000 is available as well as a package of support. This will include this will include collaborative workshops, online learning sessions and training. Projects should address one of the following four core issue areas: Children Survive and Thrive, Global Mental Health Matters, Fighting for Gender Justice, or A Safe Place to Be.

Knowledge Transfer Partnership (UK)

The Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) scheme helps businesses in the UK to innovate and grow. It does this by linking them with an academic or research organisation and a graduate. This enables a business to bring in new skills and the latest academic thinking to deliver a specific, strategic innovation project through a knowledge-based partnership. The scheme can last between 12 and 36 months, depending on what the project is and the needs of the business. A KTP is part-funded by a grant. Applicants will need to contribute to the salary of the Associate who will work with their business, plus the cost of a supervisor who will oversee the scheme. The amount that applicants will need to contribute depends on the scale and length of the project. It will also depend on the size of the company.

Transform Foundation Facebook Grants (UK)

The Transform Foundation offers grants of £5000 to charities to spend on Facebook advertising. In addition, successful charities will receive an agency-managed service through a technology partner who will create content, deploy and optimise the adverts. The most successful organisations i.e. those who achieve the highest return on the initial investment, may receive a further grant of £10,000. Successful applicants will be expected to have a clear, measurable plan for deploying the funding to generate income or impact.

Voctech Impact Fund (UK)

The Voctech Impact Fund aims to raise the skills level of the UK workforce through digital solutions for vocational learning. The fund will offer grants of £150,000 plus, for projects up to 18 months long. The emphasis of the project must be on new learning tools which use genuinely innovative methods to raise the skills levels for a significant number of learners.

Transform Foundation Website Grant Programme (UK)

The Transform Foundation is a charity for charities that aims to turn digital into a powerful force for generating more money and impact for causes. The Foundation does this by giving tech grants, conducting research and bringing together expertise to move charities forward. The Website Grant programme covers the upfront costs of a new charity-specific website including strategy, design, development and training. Grants of £18,000 will directly pay for the entire upfront costs of designing and building a website through the Foundations technology partner, Raising IT.

International Partnership Space Programme (UK)

The International Partnership Space Programme is a two year £32 million pound programme designed to enable UK satellite and other space sector companies to develop international partnerships for mutual benefit. The objectives for this programme are to show the additionality UK satellite or space technology can provide over terrestrial solutions in terms of societal or economic benefits. This call for proposals addresses areas including Earth Observation, Space Science or Life Sciences. It aims to address emerging space economies centred in South America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific and/or Nations linked with the UK Government Newton Programme including Brazil, China, Chile, Colombia, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Mexico, Philippines, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam. Funding will be available of between £500,000 and £4million; at least 50% matched funding is required.

Ambient Assisted Living Joint Programme (UK)

The Ambient Assisted Living Joint Programme (AAL JP) is a grants programme that aims to create better condition of life for the older adults and to strengthen the industrial opportunities in Europe through the use of information and communication technology (ICT). The programme supports multi-country projects involving small and medium enterprises (SME), research bodies and user's organizations (representing the older adults).

Lloyd's Register Educational Trust Grant (UK)

The Lloyd's Register Educational Trust is an independent charity operating throughout the world. It was established in 2004 by the Lloyd's Register Group. The Trust funds activities in four categories: supporting excellent scientific research; accelerating the application of research; advancing skills and education; and promoting safety and public understanding of risk. The funding amount is discretionary and applications can be submitted at any time.
