The National Forest - Sustainable Tourism Grants (Midlands) The National Forest is 200 square miles of mixed habitat forest. It spans across parts of Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Staffordshire and aims to link the two ancient Forests of Charnwood and Needwood. The Sustainable Tourism Grants programme provides funding to projects that help develop the National Forest as a landmark sustainable tourism destination: inspired by the Forest, accessible to everyone, and responsive to the urgency of climate change. |

The National Forest - Freewoods Grant (Midlands) The National Forest is 200 square miles of mixed habitat forest. It spans across parts of Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Staffordshire and aims to link the two ancient Forests of Charnwood and Needwood. The Freewoods grant programme offers three woodland themes, each specifically designed to help landowners tackle some of the most pressing economic and environmental concerns: Environmental/Commercial - Options to create a firewood wood, designed to supply fuel wood; Conservation/Landscape - Options to create a wildlife wood with the best possible conditions to attract birds and other wildlife; Amenity - Options to create a colour wood for year round seasonal colour, a sporting wood for game or recreation provision, or a roadside wood for privacy, noise dampening and landscaping. |

Boiler Upgrade Scheme (England) The government is providing grants to encourage property owners to install low carbon heating systems such as heat pumps, through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS). These grants can help property owners overcome the upfront cost of low carbon heating technologies. |

Clean Growth Fund (UK) The Clean Growth Fund (CGF) invests in technology businesses that are driving the transition to net zero through developing disruptive products and services. The clean growth sector includes innovations that can improve the resource efficiency of industry and commerce, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions, pollution or other adverse environmental impacts and also deliver substantial financial returns. CGF will invest across the technology spectrum, including hardware, software, process systems, materials, deep tech and business model innovations, capable of driving real and rapid change on a global scale. |

Industrial Energy Transformation Fund (England, Wales and Northern Ireland) The Industrial Energy Transformation Fund (IETF) is designed to help businesses with high energy use, such as energy intensive industries, to cut their energy bills and carbon emissions through investing in energy efficiency and low-carbon technologies. |

Woodland Creation Planning Grant (England) DEFRA's Forestry Innovation Fund is a nationwide £1 million fund to support schemes that will promote the growth of the forest industry in their region. The Woodland Creation Planning Grant (WCPG) is financed by this fund. WCPG is not part of Countryside Stewardship which provides other funding opportunities for creating and managing woodland. WCPG contributes towards the costs of gathering and analysing the information land managers need to consider to ensure their proposals for productive multi-purpose woodland take account of any impacts on: biodiversity, landscape, water, the historic environment and local stakeholders. |
