BBC Children in Need - Project Grants (UK) The BBC Children in Need Project grants programme distributes grants to support the aims and delivery of a specific piece of work. This work will usually be time-limited, and based on a defined set of activities. Grants are available for up to three years, grants for over £15,000 will only be considered from organisations who have registered with the appropriate regulatory body. These include the Charity Commission for England and Wales, Charity Commission for Northern Ireland and the Scottish Charity Register. |

Cumbria Community Foundation - William Milburn Charitable Trust Community First Fund (Cumbria) The Cumbria Community Foundation exists to benefit disadvantaged people and communities by making grants to support relevant charitable or voluntary organisations, which make a difference within their local area. Through the William Milburn Charitable Trust Community First Fund the Foundation provides grants of between £500 and £5,000 to groups and organisations within the parish of Brampton and surrounding areas e.g., Castle Carrock, Hethersgill, Askerton, Lanercost, Scaleby, Upper Denton, Walton, and Farlam, for projects which address local needs and/or create opportunities within the area that make a real difference to people in need and the wider community. |

Cumbria Community Foundation - Transforming West Cumbria #CanDo (Cumbria) The Cumbria Community Foundation exists to benefit disadvantaged people and communities by making grants to support relevant charitable or voluntary organisations, which make a difference within their local area. Through the Transforming West Cumbria #CanDo programme the foundation provides grants of up to £5,000 to registered charities, constituted community groups and other charitable organisations including Social Enterprises and CICs. #CanDo aims to support the ambition of developing a lifetime commitment to social action and increase the number of opportunities for young people to volunteer, fundraise, or campaign on issues that are important to them, with a commitment to reducing the social and financial barriers that stop some young people from taking part in social action. |

Cumbria Community Foundation - Liddle Thomson Community First Fund (North Allerdale, Cumbria) The Cumbria Community Foundation exists to benefit disadvantaged people and communities by making grants to support relevant charitable or voluntary organisations, which make a difference within their local area. Through the Liddle Thomson Community First Fund, the Foundation provides grants of between £500 and £1,000 for charitable, not-for-profit grassroots groups working with children and young people which support social action at a local level in the area of north Allerdale, primarily around Wigton and Carlisle areas. Priority will be given to projects which provide advice and guidance to individuals, provide sporting activities to keep young people fit and healthy, and tackle disadvantage in rural communities around the priority area. |

CFM Radio - Cash for Kids (Cumbria & South West Scotland) Cash for Kids is Bauer Radio’s network of local charities, which operate across 22 areas around the UK. Its mission is to respond to the needs of children in their communities. CFM Radio in Cumbria and South West Scotland provides funding through the Cash for Kids grant scheme to charities, schools and individuals to support local children who suffer abuse or neglect, are disabled and have special needs or who simply need extra care or guidance. |

Local Schools Nature Grants Scheme The Local Schools Nature Grants Scheme allows schools in England, Scotland & Wales to apply for £500 worth of outdoor resources, and a two hour training session. Operated by Learning through Landscapes, the scheme is funded by Postcode Local Trust which receives funding from players of People's Postcode Lottery. Schools whose learners are aged 5+ and are passionate about making environmental improvements for the benefit of their pupils, staff and the community can apply to receive equipment to the value of £500 selected from a list of 72 items. Funded schools will show how they will make great use of the equipment and training supplied by the programme. The ideal partners will include children in the decision making and incorporate their local community. |

In particular, grants are available for projects that help children and young people of 18 years and under experiencing illness, distress, abuse or neglect; any kind of disability; behavioural or psychological difficulties; and / or living in poverty or situations of deprivation. Applications should demonstrate how your project will change the lives of children for the better. |

Peter Cruddas Foundation Grant (UK) The Peter Cruddas Foundation gives priority to programmes calculated to offer disadvantaged and disengaged young people in England and Wales pathways into education, training and employment. The Foundation can only donate to registered charities in the UK for use in the UK. Current priorities are for Charities in England and Wales. Revenue grants will be made in three priority areas: Pathways and support for disadvantaged young people aged 16 to 30 into education, training or employment: Work experience for 16 - 30 year olds: Youth work in London particularly evening work for 16 - 30 year olds. The funding amount is discretionary and projects can be funded for more than one year, although the Foundation does not intend to continually repeat funding organisations. Deadline dates of the 1st March and 1st September have been introduced. Charities are encouraged to apply at any time and before the twice yearly deadline dates. |
