Sussex Community Foundation - The Chagossian Fund (Sussex) Sussex Community Foundation (SCF) is one of 48 community foundations across the UK. The Foundation's aim is to provide funding that will directly address the needs of Sussex's most vulnerable people and communities. The Chagossian Fund is a grants programme, funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and managed by Sussex Community Foundation. The fund is particularly aimed at voluntary sector organisations, grassroots community groups and established local charities supporting Chagossian people living in Crawley and other parts of Sussex. Funding is offered to support one or more of the following Fund criteria: Education; Health; Employment; Social care; Culture |

Royal British Legion - Employment Grant (UK) The Royal British Legion Employment grant is available to all ex-serving armed forces personnel and their families, specifically those who are unemployed or under employed. There are two types of grant available: A training, travel, accommodation and equipment grant – Provides applicants with support to address unemployment or under-employment. Childcare and medical costs linked to difficulties around attending training are also considered. The cap for this grant is £1,000; A licences grant – A licence grant is awarded if it will assist applicants to find or continue work. Typically, this is to fund the provision of a professional licence that is needed for the applicants work, for example a Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence. This is a one-off grant with a cap of £250. |

Kent Community Foundation - Vanquis Social Impact Fund (Kent) The Kent Community Foundation exists to benefit disadvantaged communities by making grants to support relevant charitable or voluntary organisations, which make a difference to their local communities. Through the Vanquis Social Impact Fund the foundation provides funding of between £1,500 and £10,000 to projects that meet one of the following themes: Improving people’s personal finance capabilities (debt and financial advice/education); Improving physical and/or mental health; Providing support which enhances, creates and sustains positive family relationships; Addressing issues of low educational attainment and improving learning outcomes; Providing people with opportunities to reduce inequality, exclusion and disadvantage, including projects which increase access to employment. |

Kent Community Foundation - The Port of Dover Community Fund (Dover) The Kent Community Foundation exists to benefit disadvantaged communities by making grants to support relevant charitable or voluntary organisations, which make a difference to their local communities. Through the Port of Dover Community Fund the foundation provides funding of up to £5,000 to benefit the community of Dover. Projects are supported in the following areas: Skills and Jobs – projects that provide opportunities to develop skills, support people on the pathway into employment and assist job creation, with a particular focus on young people. Community - activities that enrich the social, cultural and environmental life of local communities, enhancing Dover as an attractive and welcoming place to live, work and visit. |

Groundwork - ESFA Community Training Grants (Thames Valley, Berkshire) Groundwork is a federation of charities working nationally and locally to transform lives in the UK’s most disadvantaged communities. Groundwork is administering the ESFA Community Training Grants: Thames Valley Berkshire programme on behalf of the Education and Skills Funding Agency and the European Social Fund. The focus of these grants will be to fund projects which support participants who are over 16 years of age, eligible to work in the UK and either unemployed or economically inactive. Successful applicants are expected to be able to help move individuals into work, or closer to employment, by providing vocational training, advice, guidance and information. |

London Luton Airport – Community Trust Fund (Bedfordshire, North Herts, Stevenage, Dacorum, St Albans, Aylesbury) The London Luton Airport Operations Ltd (LLAOL)- Community Trust Fund makes grants of up to £10,000 to community groups and charities operating in Luton, Central Bedfordshire, North Herts District, Stevenage, St. Albans District or the Aylesbury Vale District. The grants are available to projects that promote Health and Wellbeing – preventative mental health services and therapies, Healthy lifestyle; and ; Developing Meaningful Skills – young people, under the age of 30, Life and work skills for employment. |

The London Community Foundation – SEGRO Community Fund (London) The SEGRO Community Fund aims to support projects working to address issues of Employability. Applications for projects working with homeless people or those at risk of homelessness and young people, particularly those at risk of engaging with criminal activity. Funding of up to £40,000 is available for projects that help people progress towards employment or stay in work. This might include training to develop soft skills like increasing confidence, support to gain vocational qualifications, or a programme of activity which moves people directly into employment. The fund is open to organisations working in the following boroughs: Barking & Dagenham; Brent; Ealing; Enfield; Havering; Hillingdon; Hounslow; Newham. |

Woman to Woman Fund (UK) Rosa's Woman to Woman Fund offers grants of up to £25,000 to local grassroots women's organisations across the UK. Grants are available for groups with an income of under £100,000 per year to support a wide range of charitable work that benefits women. Project themes can include, for example, building confidence and leadership skills, tackling harassment and violence, training in financial literacy and increasing engagement in decision-making. Rosa especially wants to support groups that work with disadvantaged communities or in disadvantaged areas. Grants can pay for core work, as well as mobilising volunteers, leadership development, communications and advocacy. As well as grants, Rosa will provide additional support that women's groups identify, including mentoring, training and networking opportunities. |

Applications must demonstrate a strong case for support, have clear aims and objectives, and, wherever possible, the applicant organisation or project will be user led and make a real difference to people within the community. SCF is able to fund a wide range of activities with eligible project costs including capital purchases or revenue i.e. from a new tea urn for a village hall and kit for a local football team to food banks and homeless shelters. |

Oxfordshire Community Foundation (Oxfordshire) Oxfordshire Community Foundation (OCF) is one of 48 community foundations across the UK. The Foundation's aim is to provide funding that will directly address the needs of Oxfordshire's most vulnerable people and communities. Support generally falls under the broad heading of social welfare. There should be a genuine need for the project, and its purpose and benefit to the community in Oxfordshire must be clear. OCF prefers to award funds to projects that will leave a permanent legacy and will continue after the grant is spent. OCF is able to fund a wide range of project costs including capital purchases or revenue costs such as venue hire, promotional costs, start-up expenses, activities or training. Applications for core costs will be considered. |

Milton Keynes Community Foundation (Milton Keynes) Milton Keynes Community Foundation (MKCF) is one of 48 community foundations across the UK. The Foundation's aim is to provide funding that will directly address the needs of Milton Keynes most vulnerable people and communities. MKCF especially welcomes grant applications for projects that address community priorities revealed in the Vital Signs initiative, which includes poverty, employability and children's education. Grant awards cover a wide range of project costs including revenue costs e.g venue hire, rent, wages, training, materials, travel; capital costs e.g equipment, building modifications; new organisation start up costs; programmes, projects or special events e.g. community festivals, arts workshops or lunch clubs; pilot projects and continuation costs after a successful pilot; volunteer training, community development and education costs of conservation projects. |

Hampshire and the Isle of Wight Community Foundation (Hampshire and Isle of Wight) Hampshire and the Isle of Wight Community Foundation (HIWCF) is one of 48 community foundations across the UK. The Foundation's aim is to provide funding that will directly address the needs of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight's most vulnerable people and communities. HIWCF specialises in awarding grants to smaller, lesser known charities and community groups who offer the support, services and activities that can really make a difference to local people's lives. Applications must demonstrate a strong case for support, have clear aims and objectives, and, wherever possible, the applicant organisation or project will be user led and make a real difference to people within the community. HIWCF is able to fund a wide range of capital or revenue project costs. |

Heart of Bucks (Buckinghamshire Community Foundation, Buckinghamshire) Buckinghamshire Community Foundation (Heart of Bucks) is one of 48 community foundations across the UK. The Foundation's aim is to provide grant and loan funding that will directly address the needs of Buckinghamshire's most vulnerable people and communities. Support generally falls under the broad heading of social welfare and, wherever possible, the applicant organisation or project will be user led and make a real difference to people within the community. BCF is able to fund a wide range of costs for new and existing projects e.g. core running costs and capital expenditure. Loans of between £1,000 and £25,000 are also available with applicants required to submit a project/business plan to demonstrate community benefit to Buckinghamshire residents and the ability to repay the loan. |

Hillingdon Community Trust (Heathrow Area) The Hillingdon Community Trust is a grant giving organisation that is being funded by a gift of £1million annually for 15 years from BAA (Heathrow Airport Ltd). The trust will make grants that benefit the communities in the southern parts of the Borough (wards of Botwell, Townfield and Pinkwell in Hayes, West Drayton, Yiewsley and the Heathrow villages south of the M4). Funding is available to charities and voluntary bodies for the following purposes: Improvement of the environment; provision, maintenance and improvement of public amenities; relief of unemployment; advancement of education, training or retraining; crime prevention and community safety; recreational facilities; development of voluntary and community groups. The Small grants programme is for funding between £100 and £7,500. The Main grants programme is for funding in excess of £7,500. |

Coalfields Investment Programme (England) The Coalfields Regeneration Trust is dedicated to improving the quality of life for the 5.5 million people living in Britain's former mining communities. Many of these communities still require support due to the huge impact the closure of the mines had upon them. Grants of up to £10,000 (£5,000 for capital costs) to community groups that help people gain the skills they need in order to increase their opportunities ; that increase the number of people in work; and that improve the health and wellbeing of all age groups. The fund is open to projects that deliver in the top 30% most deprived coalfield communities. |
